This video is Saintrick’s mother hommage.
The Congolese singer Saintrick together with Les Tchielly (which means hawk in Wolof, a langage of Senegal), arises as the creator of a new genre the Yeketi (which literaly means lift up in Wolof could be translated as “rising”):
it is a true fusion of West African and Central African sounds. This fusion results by using the Congolese Ngoma and the Senegalese tama percussions, fusing a 60′s Congolese guitar style with the rhythmic marimba of Senegalese mbalax, with lyrics in Wolof and Congolese languages.
Beside being a singer, Saintrick is also a writer, a comedian, an actor and a drawer.
